About the Grant

The Asia Climate Solutions (ACS) Design Grant supports the creation and launch of innovative blended finance solutions aimed at mobilizing private capital for climate transition and resilience in developing Asian markets. This grant addresses the climate finance gap by showcasing the potential of funding from family offices, foundations, and donor agencies. The initiative, backed by key donors such as the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Rockefeller Foundation, focuses on critical sectors including nature-based solutions, clean energy transition, and sustainable cities. With an emphasis on sustainable agriculture and clean energy, the ACS Design Grant offers feasibility and proof-of-concept funding to develop effective solutions that benefit vulnerable communities in Southeast Asia.

Who can Apply?

Eligible applicants include organizations or consortiums with a clear need for grant support to design or launch innovative blended finance solutions targeting climate change mitigation and adaptation. Solutions must be implemented through financial instruments such as funds, project finance vehicles, or bonds. Proposals should focus on developing markets in Asia, targeting sectors like sustainable agriculture, clean energy, and nature-based solutions. Organizations can be asset owners, managers, advisory firms, foundations, not-for-profits, or private enterprises. The lead organization must provide proof of incorporation and financial statements from the previous fiscal year. Solutions must directly benefit end recipients in the targeted developing markets, and applicants do not need to be domiciled in those markets.
