About Organisation
The Pranava Institute is a research-driven organisation dedicated to exploring the intersections of technology, society, and youth futures in India. Through academic programs, fellowships, and collaborative initiatives, it nurtures young scholars and practitioners who are shaping conversations around digital life. The institute partners with global faculty and experts to provide interdisciplinary learning spaces that foreground lived experiences, social impact, and innovation. By centring youth voices and bridging research with community engagement, the Pranava Institute supports projects that interrogate digital ecosystems, strengthen civic imagination, and build more inclusive and equitable tech futures for young people across India.
About the Grant
The Youth for Tech Futures (YTF) Fellowship is a fully funded 4-month program supporting youth-led research on emerging technologies and digital experiences in India. It offers a curated two-month academic program taught by global faculty, followed by hands-on research and a community capstone project. The fellowship encourages critical inquiry into how young Indians engage with digital spaces, navigate online ecosystems, and envision future technologies. Selected fellows receive mentorship, research guidance, publication opportunities, and a fellowship stipend. The program aims to amplify youth voices in tech policy, digital well-being, and socio-technological futures through rigorous, original research.
Who can Apply?
The fellowship is open to young individuals aged 18–27 from across India. Applicants may be university students or early-career professionals with an interest in technology, society, or youth development. Prior research experience—through academic projects or work—is an advantage but not mandatory. Experience in facilitating workshops or working with youth communities at the grassroots is preferred. Ideal candidates demonstrate curiosity about digital life, the ability to conduct fieldwork, and a commitment to producing original research. Applicants should be motivated to explore how young people navigate digital technologies and imagine their digital futures.
How to Apply?
Candidates must submit an application outlining their interest, relevant experience, and motivation to join the fellowship. Shortlisted applicants may undergo further review before final selection. The process aims to identify youth with strong research potential and a commitment to exploring digital futures. All required materials must be submitted before the deadline. Selected fellows will receive full sponsorship and a stipend throughout the program.
Application Deadline
Applications close on 15 December 2025. Late submissions will not be considered, so interested applicants should complete the process well in advance.
