The institute aims to empower young Indians to participate meaningfully in shaping digital futures by providing academic grounding, research mentorship, and hands-on opportunities. Its initiatives focus on fostering digital literacy, ethical innovation, and collaborative research models that amplify youth voices. By creating inclusive spaces for exploration and inquiry, the institute supports the development of informed, engaged, and responsible digital citizens.

About the Grant

The Youth for Tech Futures (YTF) Fellowship is a four-month, fully funded research program designed to support young Indians exploring the intersections of technology, society, and digital futures. Ten selected fellows will participate in a two-month academic program taught by global faculty, undertake youth-driven research, and complete a hands-on community capstone project. The fellowship encourages exploration of how Indian youth navigate digital spaces, envision future technologies, and resolve challenges emerging in their digital lives. YTF provides mentorship, structured learning, and opportunities to co-author research outputs. Fellows receive a ₹1,00,000 stipend upon successful completion of the program.

Who can Apply?

The fellowship is open to individuals aged 18–27 who are university students or early-career professionals interested in technology, youth studies, or social impact. Prior research experience—through academic projects or work settings—is beneficial but not mandatory. Applicants with experience conducting workshops or working with youth communities are preferred. The program seeks candidates curious about how young Indians engage with digital technologies and motivated to carry out original research. Applicants must be able to participate fully in all academic sessions, research activities, and community projects throughout the four-month duration of the fellowship.

How to Apply?

Interested applicants must submit their application before the deadline with required personal details, academic background, relevant experience, and a statement of interest. Candidates should highlight any prior research engagement or youth-focused work. Shortlisted applicants may undergo an additional selection round. Only ten fellows will be chosen for the final cohort. Applications must be completed and submitted online through the official application portal.
