About Organisation
Earth Journalism Network (EJN), established in 2004, is a global network supporting journalists and media outlets covering environmental and climate issues. Operating across regions worldwide, EJN strengthens the quality, reach, and impact of environmental reporting by providing funding, training, mentorship, and editorial support. In an era of shrinking newsrooms, misinformation, and limited resources for in-depth journalism, EJN plays a crucial role in enabling reporters—especially freelancers and under-resourced media—to produce accurate, impactful, and public-interest journalism on urgent environmental and climate challenges affecting communities and policy decisions globally.
About the Grant
The fellowship supports in-depth reporting on climate change and the role of India’s private sector, including both mitigation efforts and contributions to climate risks. Up to 10 fellowships will be awarded to communicators to produce well-researched reports examining themes such as climate finance, ESG frameworks, greenwashing, renewable energy, carbon markets, and private-sector accountability. Alongside financial support, fellows will receive editorial guidance and mentorship from experienced professionals. The programme aims to enhance public understanding, promote accountability, and stimulate policy dialogue around private sector actions shaping India’s climate future.
