About Organisation
The European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) is the EU body responsible for strengthening Europe’s cybersecurity ecosystem through investment, coordination and cooperation. Working with the European Commission and the Network of National Coordination Centres, the ECCC supports cybersecurity technology, capabilities, skills and preparedness across Europe. This call forms part of the Digital Europe Programme and focuses specifically on helping the European cybersecurity ecosystem implement evolving EU cybersecurity legislation. The initiative brings together technical, organisational and regulatory capacity-building to create a stronger and more coordinated European approach to cybersecurity.
About the Grant
The Strengthening EU Cybersecurity Capacities and Capabilities in Line with Legislative Requirements call supports projects that strengthen Europe’s cybersecurity ecosystem and help stakeholders implement new EU cybersecurity obligations. The action addresses legislation including the Cyber Resilience Act, NIS 2 Directive, GDPR, DORA, Cybersecurity Act and specific requirements of the AI Act. Projects can focus on certification, conformity assessment, regulatory implementation, interoperable tools, secure information sharing, workforce development and other practical measures that improve cybersecurity capabilities across Europe. The call has a €20 million budget, with an expected EU contribution of €3–5 million per project.
Who can Apply?
The call targets organisations and stakeholders involved in implementing EU cybersecurity legislation and strengthening European cybersecurity capabilities. The official call encompasses relevant public and private stakeholders, including competent authorities, cybersecurity bodies, CSIRTs, SOCs, certification and conformity-assessment bodies, industry stakeholders, SMEs, start-ups and other entities involved in the relevant regulatory ecosystem. Applicants must satisfy the Digital Europe Programme and call-specific eligibility and security requirements. The action has a strong European and cross-border dimension, with multi-country collaboration contributing positively to the expected impact.
