About the Grant
The SparkUp Initiative Fellowship is a global capacity-building program designed to support women-led organizations by strengthening their fundraising capabilities. The fellowship helps participants design strong fundraising strategies, build impactful project proposals, and gain practical grant-writing skills for international foundations and public institutions. It also introduces innovative methods such as crowdfunding and digital fundraising. Fellows benefit from personalized mentorship, peer learning, and access to a collaborative network of women leaders. The program aims to enhance organizational readiness, expand access to international funding, and support sustainable growth for women-led nonprofits across sectors such as health, education, environment, gender, and community development.
Who can Apply?
The fellowship is open to women-led NGOs, nonprofits, or grassroots organizations based in developing countries across Asia, Africa, and selected smaller European nations. Eligible organizations may work in any thematic sector, including education, health, gender equity, climate action, economic empowerment, policy advocacy, or community development. Both newly formed and established organizations are encouraged to apply. Applicants must demonstrate a clear leadership role within their organization and a commitment to strengthening their fundraising capacity. Organizations should be prepared to participate actively in training sessions, mentorship activities, and collaborative learning throughout the duration of the program.
How to Apply?
Applicants must submit a completed application form, a one-page concept note outlining a project or fundraising idea, a current CV, and a signed letter confirming the applicant’s leadership role in the organization. All required documents must be submitted before the deadline. The selection process focuses on the organization’s mission, leadership readiness, and commitment to capacity building.
