About the Grant
The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships (QECS) provide an opportunity to pursue a two-year Master’s degree in a low or middle-income Commonwealth country. Designed for students committed to positive community impact, the scholarship promotes cultural exchange, academic collaboration, and global networking. QECS supports scholars in gaining international exposure while contributing to shared development challenges across the Commonwealth. Scholars become part of a lifelong network, helping shape the future of the Commonwealth through leadership, service, and cross-cultural understanding.
Who can Apply?
Applicants must have achieved at least a 2:1 undergraduate degree or equivalent to be eligible. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to community development and positive change. Applicants must apply to eligible courses and universities participating in the current QECS cycle, as only listed programmes qualify for funding. The scholarship is open to citizens of Commonwealth countries who meet academic and course-specific requirements set by host institutions.
How to Apply?
Applicants must submit an online application before the deadline, selecting eligible courses and host countries offered in the current cycle. Candidates are advised to carefully review the application guidance and FAQs prior to applying. Applicants may apply once per cycle and can reapply in future cycles for different host countries or programmes.
