Call for Grant Applications – Apply now for the Osteosarcoma Institute’s Grant Program.

About Organisation

The Osteosarcoma Institute (OSI) is dedicated to advancing research and treatment for osteosarcoma, a challenging and aggressive bone cancer primarily affecting children and young adults. As a nonprofit organization, OSI fosters collaboration among researchers, clinicians, and institutions to improve patient outcomes. By focusing on innovative approaches and funding promising projects, the Institute aims to enhance understanding of the disease and accelerate the development of effective therapies. OSI actively supports various research initiatives, including clinical trials, translational studies, and correlative science, to address critical questions and drive progress in osteosarcoma treatment.

About the Grant

The Osteosarcoma Institute offers a grant program targeting four key areas: Clinical Trials, Correlative Science, Preclinical/Translational Research, and High-Risk/High-Impact projects. The primary objective of the Clinical Trials grant is to improve event-free survival for patients with relapsed or refractory osteosarcoma. Correlative Science proposals focus on generating data to understand treatment responses, while Preclinical/Translational grants seek to identify biological dependencies for targeted therapies. The High-Risk/High-Impact category encourages bold research ideas that may not require preliminary data, aiming for innovative solutions that could lead to curative outcomes.

Who can Apply?

Eligible applicants for the OSI grant program include nonprofit or charitable institutions and organizations, which can be based outside the United States. Applicants must hold an MD, PhD, or equivalent degree and be appointed as faculty or in an equivalent position at an academic institution. There are no citizenship restrictions for applicants. Each proposal must represent a new research direction, distinct from ongoing funded work. Established researchers must demonstrate how their project diverges from existing studies, while new projects can extend previous work without duplicating current funding.

How to Apply?

To apply, submit your proposal online by the deadline. Ensure that your submission includes all required documentation and clearly outlines your research objectives, methodologies, and anticipated impact. Proposals should be detailed and align with OSI’s funding priorities.

Application Deadline

The application deadline is October 31, 2024 (by 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time).
