The organization believes in empowering refugee communities to actively participate in decision-making processes that affect their futures. APNOR envisions a world where refugees can fully access their rights, achieve independence, and contribute meaningfully to society. Key objectives include providing essential support to refugees, promoting leadership within refugee communities, fostering active community engagement, and advocating for reforms in the humanitarian system. By focusing on empowering refugees, APNOR aims to ensure their voices are heard and their rights upheld.
About the Grant
APNOR is excited to announce the Refugee Leadership Alliance Fund, a grant created by refugees for refugee-led organizations and initiatives (RLOs/RLIs) in the Asia Pacific region. This fund provides financial support to RLOs working directly on the frontlines to address the needs of refugee communities. The goal is to empower and sustain community-driven responses to forced displacement, ensuring they remain impactful. The fund also offers an avenue for donors to support refugee-led efforts. By putting resources directly into the hands of refugee communities, the Refugee Leadership Alliance Fund strengthens their ability to respond effectively to local challenges.
Who can Apply?
Eligible applicants must be refugee-led organizations (RLOs/RLIs) in the Asia Pacific region. These organizations should be either founded and managed by individuals with forced displacement backgrounds or have such individuals in significant leadership roles. The organization’s mission and activities must focus on addressing the needs and priorities of refugee communities. Additionally, the organization must have a demonstrated presence in its community, with a track record of delivering programs or services. This ensures that the projects are driven by and for refugee communities, maintaining their relevance and impact in addressing local challenges.
How to Apply?
Ensure your organization is refugee-led, based in the Asia Pacific region, and has a strong community presence. You can apply either online or by submitting a completed form outlining your organization’s details, funding requirements, and community impact.
