About the Grant
The GEF Small Grants Programme Bhutan under Operational Phase 8 provides financial support for community-led environmental and sustainable development projects. Who can Apply?
Eligible applicants include registered civil society organizations (CSOs) and community-based organizations (CBOs) operating in Bhutan. Applicants must demonstrate prior experience in environmental sustainability or community development initiatives. Organizations should have a proven presence in target districts, particularly in priority eastern regions such as Pema Gatshel, Trashigang, and Mongar. Valid financial records and banking documentation are mandatory. The programme strongly encourages applications from women-led organizations and groups working with youth, indigenous populations, and marginalized communities. Applicants must also showcase the capacity to manage grants effectively and implement projects aligned with biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and inclusive development goals.
How to Apply?
