About Organisation
Alliance for Scaling Policy Impact through Research and Evidence (ASPIRE) works to bridge the gap between research, policy, and large-scale implementation by embedding evidence-based approaches within government systems. Anchored at National Law University Delhi, ASPIRE collaborates closely with policymakers, researchers, and civil society partners across India. The initiative is linked with J-PAL South Asia, a global leader in evidence-informed policymaking, to ensure that rigorous research and data-driven insights translate into practical, scalable public interventions.
About the Grant
The ASPIRE Fellows Program is a two-year professional fellowship designed for early- to mid-career professionals seeking to work at the intersection of research, policy, and government systems. Fellows support the scaling of evidence-based interventions by working directly with government departments, researchers, and implementation partners. The programme begins with a structured onboarding phase in Delhi, followed by placement within relevant government offices. Through hands-on engagement, fellows contribute to policy design, monitoring, evaluation, and institutional learning while gaining deep exposure to governance, development practice, and applied research.
Who can Apply?
The fellowship is open to young professionals with a strong interest in public policy, development, and evidence-based decision-making. Applicants must hold either a Master’s degree with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least four years of experience. Prior engagement with government stakeholders, civil society, or development programmes is strongly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate understanding of monitoring and evaluation, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate research into actionable insights. Fluency in English is essential; Hindi and relevant regional languages are an advantage.
How to Apply?
Applicants are required to submit a curriculum vitae, a cover letter explaining their interest and suitability for the fellowship, and a short introductory video. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Shortlisted candidates may be contacted for further assessment as part of the selection process. All materials should clearly demonstrate motivation, relevant experience, and alignment with evidence-based policymaking.
Application Deadline
Applications for the ASPIRE Fellows Program must be submitted by 08 March 2026. Early applications are encouraged, as screening and shortlisting take place on a rolling basis.
