About Organisation

Barry & Marie Lipman Family Prize, an award honoring leadership and innovation within the social sector. Established through the generosity of Barry and Marie Lipman, the Prize is administered by the University of Pennsylvania with a focus on recognizing organizations demonstrating exceptional impact and transferable practices.

The Prize is managed by the Wharton School’s McNulty Leadership Program in collaboration with other university departments.  The University of Pennsylvania is committed to leveraging its resources to address global challenges and supports the Prize’s goal of identifying and promoting innovative solutions to complex social issues.

About the Grant

The Lipman Family Prize annually selects three winning companies. The first-area recipient is presented an unrestricted coins prize of $250,000, while the last two winners each get hold of $150,000. In addition to economic recognition, all three companies advantage of a complete suite of non-economic awards.

These non-economic blessings encompass a collaborative partnership with the University for expertise change and organizational improvement, significant advertising of the corporation’s paintings, admission to executive schooling packages valued at about $15,000, and the Lipman Nonprofit Leadership Scholarship worth about $10,000.

Who can Apply?

The Lipman Family Prize is designed for businesses working in the nonprofit/NGO/civil society sector that cope with globally relevant challenges.

To be eligible, applicant agencies should meet the following criteria:

  • Be registered as a nonprofit entity in the United States or own equivalent felony popularity of their country of starting place.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of operational history.
  • Possess a 3-year song report of monitoring and evaluating program consequences.
  • Report common annual organizational prices between 500,000 and 5,000,000 USD over a 3-year length.
  • Adhere to strict tips in opposition to direct lobbying, nonsecular affiliations, and discriminatory practices.
  • It is critical to notice that Lipman Family Prize funds are supposed solely for the recipient organization and can’t be disbursed to different entities or people.
