About the Grant
The Youth Ambassador Program selects fifteen passionate young individuals each year to nurture the next generation of Internet leaders. The program provides opportunities to develop expertise in Internet governance, strengthen leadership and communication skills, and engage with global Internet stakeholders. Participants gain access to mentorship from leading experts, attend significant Internet-related events, and join an active network of peers working to protect and advance the Internet. Through training, collaboration, and hands-on exposure to global discussions, the program aims to equip young leaders with the knowledge and connections to drive meaningful impact in their communities.
Who can Apply?
Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of applying and should possess strong English reading, writing, and speaking skills. They must be confident in public communication and able to commit at least four hours per week over the 12-month program duration. Reliable Internet access, suitable equipment, and availability for weekly meetings held between 11:00 and 16:00 UTC are required. Candidates must also be able to travel internationally with a valid passport. Individuals previously selected for Internet Society ambassador or fellowship programs are not eligible to apply.
How to Apply?
Interested applicants must complete the official application form and provide accurate details regarding their background, motivation, and readiness for the program. They should prepare to demonstrate their commitment, communication skills, and interest in Internet governance. All required information must be submitted before the deadline. Applications are reviewed by the Internet Society to select a cohort of fifteen Youth Ambassadors for the year.
