IIT Mandi Catalyst, launched in 2016, is the first Technology Business Incubator (TBI) in Himachal Pradesh. It was established with the vision of supporting technology-driven startups that contribute to both economic and social impact. Backed by the Department of Science and Technology (Government of India), HPCED, MeitY, Startup India, and IIT Mandi iHub and HCI Foundation, Catalyst has emerged as a leading ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship in the region. Recently, Catalyst was selected under BioNEST by BIRAC and the Atal Innovation Mission’s EIC, further strengthening its recognition at the national level. The incubator currently administers more than ten funding schemes, including those sponsored by central and state governments, providing entrepreneurs with a diverse range of financial and mentorship opportunities. With a strong commitment to empowering startups, Catalyst has facilitated funding support exceeding INR 24+ Crores. Beyond funding, Catalyst offers an enabling environment through mentorship, training, and strategic guidance, fostering a culture of creativity and sustainable growth. By supporting early-stage ventures and nurturing innovation-driven ideas, IIT Mandi Catalyst has become a hub for aspiring entrepreneurs to scale their businesses and make meaningful contributions to society, the economy, and technological advancement.

The IIT Mandi Catalyst Fellowship provides young professionals with a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in social media and digital marketing while contributing to the growth of an innovation ecosystem. The fellowship is designed for dynamic individuals who are passionate about digital communication, content creation, and marketing strategies. Fellows will play an active role in enhancing Catalyst’s online presence through creative storytelling, multimedia campaigns, and digital outreach activities. The program emphasizes learning by doing, offering participants exposure to cross-functional work areas within the incubation ecosystem. Selected fellows will be involved in content development for multiple platforms, including social media, websites, newsletters, posters, and video-based campaigns. They will also contribute to the planning, execution, and monitoring of digital marketing initiatives. This fellowship is more than just a training program—it offers career-building opportunities, creative freedom, and a chance to directly engage with startups and innovators. The program also provides mentorship from professionals and access to networking opportunities in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Fellows who excel during the program may be considered for full-time employment at Catalyst, depending on their performance and organizational needs. With a stipend of up to INR 20,000, the fellowship blends learning, growth, and professional development.
