About Organisation
Y Combinator (YC) is one of the world’s most prestigious startup accelerators and early-stage investment programmes, founded in 2005 and based in San Francisco. It has helped launch thousands of high-growth companies, including Airbnb, Dropbox, Reddit, Stripe, and DoorDash. YC invests in startups at all stages—from idea to established ventures—providing seed funding, intensive mentorship, and access to a global network of investors and founders. Its accelerator model combines structured learning, dedicated partner support, community building, and introductions to investors to help startups scale rapidly and sustainably.
About the Grant
The Y Combinator Spring 2026 Batch is a three-month accelerator programme designed to accelerate early-stage startups through funding, mentorship, and community support. Accepted companies receive investment—historically structured as a standard YC deal with seed capital and SAFE agreements—and participate in an intensive, in-person programme at YC’s San Francisco campus. The experience includes weekly meetings with YC partners, group sessions, networking with alumni, workshops, and opportunities to refine product and go-to-market strategy. At the end of the batch, founders often connect with investors for follow-on funding. The programme also provides lifelong access to the YC founder community.
Who can Apply?
Applications are open globally to early-stage startups in any sector and stage, from idea through revenue-generating companies, as long as the founding team is committed to scaling the venture. Solo founders or teams from around the world are eligible, though teams must be prepared to commit full-time to the program if accepted. Startups can be incorporated or pre-incorporated and do not need to be U.S. based to apply; however, founders must be willing to participate in the in-person Spring 2026 Batch in San Francisco. YC accepts diverse startups, including technology, social impact, and hybrid business models.
How to Apply?
To apply, startups must complete and submit the online application form via Y Combinator’s official portal before the deadline. The application typically includes questions about the founders, team, product or idea, market, traction, and plans. Strong applications clearly articulate the problem being solved, product vision, team strengths, and business potential. Shortlisted applicants are usually invited to interview with YC partners as part of the evaluation process.
Application Deadline
The on-time application deadline for the Y Combinator Spring 2026 Batch is 9 February 2026 at 8:00 PM Pacific Time. Late applications may still be considered without guaranteed decision timelines.
