About the Grant
The Water Research Foundation is inviting proposals for the Assessment of Corrosion Control Treatment (CCT) Project, aimed at understanding the effectiveness of pipe rig studies compared to real-world distribution systems. The project will assess how well data from pipe rig studies reflect actual conditions in full-scale systems and identify factors that contribute to discrepancies in results. Applicants may request funding up to $150,000 to conduct this 18-month project, which is expected to deliver a comprehensive final report, guidance materials for utilities, a journal article on findings, and a webinar to share outcomes with water professionals. This initiative is designed to help utilities make informed decisions about corrosion control treatments by providing essential context for interpreting study results and understanding the implications of treatment changes. By bridging the gap between research findings and practical applications, this project aims to enhance water management strategies and contribute to improved water quality.
