About the Grant

Wildlife Acoustics offers a quarterly grant program to support scientists in conducting bioacoustics research that aids in wildlife conservation. The program provides essential research tools to study vocal wildlife such as bats, birds, and amphibians, helping researchers gather and analyze critical ecological data.

The grant program consists of two main funding options:

  1. Standard Product Grant – Provides up to $12,000 worth of eligible bioacoustic research products to selected applicants each quarter. Individual recipients may request products and software licenses totaling up to $4,000 per quarter.
  2. Kaleidoscope Pro-Only Grant – Offers an unlimited number of Kaleidoscope Pro software licenses to support research projects globally. There is no cap on the number of licenses an applicant may request.

Grant recipients receive recognition on Wildlife Acoustics’ website and social media, promoting their research and conservation efforts. The organization seeks to support projects that demonstrate significant and novel use of wildlife vocalization data for ecological monitoring, species identification, and long-term conservation initiatives. The grant program ensures that scientists and conservationists have access to the latest bioacoustic tools to enhance their work and contribute to global biodiversity protection.
