About the Grant
The Unity for Humanity Grant is an annual funding opportunity designed to support impact-driven projects that utilize real-time 3D technology. While only a limited number of projects receive funding through this open call, all submitted projects are added to a database for consideration in future funding opportunities throughout the year.
Eligible projects include those developed using RT3D platforms such as Unity, Unreal, and Quill. The projects must align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring they contribute to meaningful social or environmental impact. They must also be beyond the conceptual phase, with a working prototype or demo in place. Grant recipients are required to submit an annual report detailing how the funds were used, and they also have access to optional events and co-marketing tools to enhance their project’s visibility and impact.
Who can Apply?
The Unity for Humanity Grant is open to projects that are charitable in nature and have a clear social impact. To be eligible, applicants must be affiliated with a nonprofit organization, a studio, or another legal entity capable of receiving funding. Grants cannot be awarded to individuals, so those without an existing nonprofit affiliation are encouraged to partner with a nonprofit fiscal sponsor, which Unity for Humanity can help identify.
Eligible projects must utilize real-time 3D technology and be in an advanced stage of development, meaning they should have a prototype or demo. Additionally, projects should align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on areas such as sustainability, social justice, education, healthcare, or other impactful causes. By ensuring that projects have both a clear mission and a structural framework to support their execution, the grant aims to fund initiatives that create lasting change.
How to Apply?
Applicants must submit their project details during the open call for submissions. The application should include information on the project’s purpose, prototype status, nonprofit affiliation, and alignment with social impact goals. If a nonprofit affiliation is not yet established, applicants may seek guidance on potential nonprofit partners.
