About the Grant
Google’s Startups for Sustainable Development program is a global initiative aimed at supporting technology-first startups that are driving measurable impact aligned with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This ongoing program offers selected startups access to a wide array of resources to support their long-term mission and growth. Startups in the program benefit from expert advisory networks, funding connections, and access to cutting-edge technology—including AI and open data platforms—that help amplify their scalability and global reach.
Unlike time-bound accelerators, this program is structured for sustained engagement, giving startups the flexibility to grow at their own pace while being supported by a global ecosystem. The program values long-term impact and supports entrepreneurs who are addressing pressing global issues like climate change, healthcare, education, poverty, and more. Through mentorship, funding partnerships, and technology enablement, Google empowers mission-driven startups to overcome challenges and achieve significant scale. The goal is to nurture a thriving innovation ecosystem where tech solutions can drive transformative change. By joining this program, startups become part of a global community of like-minded founders and benefit from a support system designed to help them grow and maximize their social and environmental impact.
