About the Grant
The SEAOHUN Regional Student Competition 2026, also known as the One Health Campus-to-Community Challenge, supports student-led projects addressing critical health and environmental issues. This student grant in Asia encourages multidisciplinary teams to design and implement community-based solutions focused on zoonotic diseases, antimicrobial resistance, environmental health, and sustainable food systems. Selected teams receive funding, mentorship, and opportunities for regional collaboration. The program emphasizes practical learning, enabling students to transform academic knowledge into real-world impact. By fostering innovation and teamwork, this One Health funding initiative strengthens community awareness and promotes sustainable development across participating countries.
Who can Apply?
This public health student grant is open to multidisciplinary student teams from Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, India, and Bangladesh. Applicants must form a team that includes members from diverse academic backgrounds along with at least one academic mentor. Teams are required to complete the SEAOHUN One Health Course before implementing their projects. Additionally, participants must design initiatives that engage a minimum of 50 community members. The competition encourages students interested in health, environment, and sustainability issues to apply. Applicants should demonstrate commitment to collaborative work and community-based project implementation.
How to Apply?
Form a multidisciplinary student team and include an academic mentor. Enroll in and complete the SEAOHUN One Health Course. Develop a community-focused project addressing One Health issues such as zoonotic diseases or environmental health. Prepare a detailed proposal outlining objectives, methods, expected outcomes, and budget. Submit the application through the official competition platform.
