About the Grant
The Production Finance Program provides financial support to screen projects that contribute to the growth of the Northern Territory screen industry. The program is designed to strengthen Territory-based production companies, elevate local storytelling, and generate economic benefits through increased production activity. It offers base funding and additional incentives that help projects progress toward completion and delivery. Funding may support feature films, drama, comedy series, factual content, or documentaries with clear audience pathways. The program also considers applications for post-production or completion funding for work undertaken within the Northern Territory.
Who can Apply?
Eligible applicants are primarily Northern Territory production companies or NT companies working in genuine co-production arrangements with non-NT partners. Non-NT companies may apply only if their project delivers substantial benefits to the Territory and must consult Screen Territory at least one month before applying. Projects must fall within eligible formats such as feature films, drama and comedy series, telemovies, web series, or content-rich factual and documentary works. Applicants must demonstrate a viable pathway to completion and audience delivery, as well as the capacity to manage production and expenditure within the Northern Territory.
How to Apply?
Applicants must prepare a detailed submission outlining the project, budget, Northern Territory expenditure, production timeline, and anticipated benefits to the local screen industry. Non-NT companies must discuss plans with Screen Territory before applying. Applications should clearly show how the project will be completed and delivered. Required documents must be submitted through the program’s designated application process before the deadline.

The final deadline for submitting applications is 15 December 2025. All required materials must be completed and provided before this date for consideration.
