About Organisation
The Rising Explorer Grant program is an initiative designed to inspire and empower the next generation of scientists and explorers. With a focus on encouraging young minds to pursue curiosity-driven research, the program supports field-based projects that generate new knowledge and contribute to understanding the world around us. It seeks to provide not only financial assistance but also mentorship, recognition, and access to professional networks that can help students shape their future careers. Through this initiative, young people are invited to step into the realm of real-world exploration, gaining practical experience in conducting scientific investigations. The program also fosters inclusion by welcoming applicants from across the globe, regardless of background, and placing emphasis on diversity of thought and perspective. Those selected as Rising Explorers are given opportunities for growth, exposure, and credibility in the global scientific community, including consideration for membership in the Explorers Club. Ultimately, the Rising Explorer Grant represents a commitment to nurturing bold, creative thinkers who have the determination to transform ideas into impactful scientific contributions.
About the Grant
The Rising Explorer Grant 2025 provides USD 1,500–3,000 to high school students and undergraduates worldwide who demonstrate passion and creativity in scientific exploration. The grant supports field-based research projects across a wide range of disciplines, including biology, ecology, environmental science, conservation, archaeology, anthropology, and marine or freshwater studies. The program prioritizes projects that go beyond classroom exercises or travel experiences, instead focusing on original research that generates meaningful scientific knowledge. Applicants are encouraged to submit proposals with clear objectives, feasible timelines, and strong scientific merit. In addition to funding, the grant provides recognition, confidence, and visibility within the scientific community. Selected Rising Explorers are also automatically considered for Explorers Club membership, giving them access to global networks and mentorship opportunities. By supporting young innovators, the program helps launch scientific careers and strengthens the role of youth-led inquiry in addressing global challenges. Awards will be announced in January 2026 for projects commencing the same year.
