About the Grant
The Expanding Global Health Security Through Local Partnerships program provides an estimated US$25 million to strengthen Ethiopia’s capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to infectious disease threats. The funding supports projects focused on laboratory systems, disease surveillance, emergency preparedness, antimicrobial resistance, immunization, workforce development, and health information systems. The initiative promotes partnerships with national institutions to improve public health resilience and implement the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) and International Health Regulations (IHR). Who can Apply?
Eligible applicants include state, county, city, and township governments, public and private higher education institutions, nonprofit organizations with or without 501(c)(3) status, small businesses, for-profit organizations, tribal governments, tribal organizations, public housing authorities, and other eligible entities identified in the funding announcement. Applicants should demonstrate technical expertise, organizational capacity, and experience implementing public health initiatives.
