About the Grant

This grant focuses on the “Reduction of Malnutrition Among Children, Women, and Adolescents in 14 Aspirational Districts” through strengthening Anganwadi Centres (AWCs). The project will be implemented by AVN College of Management and Technology Trust. Its primary goal is to enhance the health and nutrition status in targeted districts by upgrading 500 AWCs with essential amenities, training over 1,000 frontline health workers, and promoting 10,000 household kitchen gardens. Additionally, the project includes the organization of over 60 health and nutrition camps, digital monitoring, and large-scale community awareness campaigns expected to reach over 1,00,000 individuals. The project spans across 12 districts in 7 states: West Bengal, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Manipur. With a total budget allocation of ₹35,02,150, the initiative will be executed in multiple phases through a structured payment schedule. Each phase covers targeted activities such as infrastructure upgrades, capacity building, convergence meetings, and awareness sessions. A refundable security deposit of ₹2,50,000 is required from the implementing partner as part of mutual trust and collaboration. This grant aims to create long-term improvements in nutritional outcomes and overall well-being through community-centered and convergent efforts.
