About Organisation

The PRA/OSIM program aims to provide financial and technical support for international solidarity projects led by OSIMs in collaboration with local partners in countries of origin. The initiative focuses on strengthening the contribution of diaspora communities to sustainable development by financing small-scale, high-impact projects. Supported projects must align with one or more priority sectors, including health, education, water and sanitation, environment, social development, rural and agricultural development, and urban development. Funding is designed to encourage ownership, local capacity-building, and empowerment of grassroots communities while fostering long-term partnerships between OSIMs and local stakeholders. The grant not only enhances diaspora engagement in development but also ensures that initiatives are inclusive, locally relevant, and scalable.

About the Grant

Eligible applicants are exclusively OSIMs (Organisations de Solidarité Internationale issues de l’Immigration), which are nonprofit, apolitical associations established under French law (association loi 1901) and based in France. These organizations must be immigrant-led, with the majority of their board members or executive leadership coming from migrant backgrounds. Projects must be carried out in collaboration with local partner organizations in the country of origin to ensure relevance, ownership, and sustainability. The proposals should directly address development challenges in targeted sectors such as education, health, water, rural and agricultural development, environment, and social development. Applicants are expected to demonstrate clear objectives, a feasible implementation plan, community involvement, and measurable impact outcomes.
