About the Grant

The Hexaware Innovation Challenge is a targeted initiative designed to inspire the creation of AI-agent-driven solutions that can revolutionize the clinical trial process. Spanning over a month, the program equips participants with access to Hexaware and IIITH’s resources, including mentorship from technical and industry experts, clinical datasets, and guidance from experienced professionals. The challenge seeks to address major bottlenecks in the clinical trial lifecycle, such as automating data management, enabling real-time monitoring, improving data mapping for regulatory submissions, and streamlining clinical study reporting. Participants will work on real-world problem statements, building prototypes that can be showcased to healthcare and enterprise leaders during the Innovation Immersion Day. Winners will be awarded a Proof-of-Concept (PoC) grant of ₹8 lakh, engineering and data access support, and opportunities for co-development with Hexaware. This grant is not only a financial boost but also an entry into a collaborative ecosystem, allowing innovators to test their solutions in practical environments and accelerate their path to market readiness. The initiative fosters innovation at the intersection of AI and life sciences, aiming to reshape how clinical trials are designed, monitored, and scaled.

Who can Apply?

The challenge is open to a wide range of innovators working in the domains of life sciences and artificial intelligence. Eligible participants include startups, research groups, corporates, faculty members, and students with solutions aimed at enhancing the clinical trial process. Applicants must focus on AI-agent-based solutions that address critical challenges in clinical research workflows, such as automation of data handling, real-time monitoring, regulatory data analytics, and automated reporting. Solutions should be innovative, technically feasible, and capable of scaling to meet enterprise-grade needs. Participants should have a working prototype or a clear development plan that can be advanced during the month-long program. Experience in AI, healthcare technologies, or pharmaceutical research will be considered advantageous. Applicants must be committed to engaging fully in the program’s mentorship sessions, technical workshops, and innovation sprints.
