About Organisation

The Network Solutions funding initiative is part of the EU Youth Empowerment Fund, a joint effort between the European Union and the Big Six youth organizations. One of the leading partners in this initiative is the Global Youth Mobilization (GYM), which collaborates closely with YMCA National Movements. The fund aims to empower young people to lead projects that tackle pressing community challenges and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In particular, the focus is on addressing climate change and engaging underrepresented groups.

Since its inception, the Global Youth Mobilization has successfully launched several impactful initiatives. Between 2020 and 2022, it supported 17 national projects, followed by 7 additional projects under the first cycle of Network Solutions. These initiatives have strengthened the role of young people in creating sustainable, community-based solutions. With a commitment to fostering innovation and social impact, this funding opportunity supports youth-led ideas that strive for equity, inclusivity, and positive change. Through its programs, the organization envisions a world where empowered young individuals actively shape their communities and influence global development pathways.

About the Grant

The Network Solutions Grant is a dynamic funding opportunity designed to support YMCA National Movements and their local associations in partnership with youth. This initiative promotes youth-led actions that address community-based challenges while contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with particular emphasis on climate change and empowering marginalized populations.

Funded through the EU Youth Empowerment Fund and facilitated by Global Youth Mobilization, this grant aims to nurture innovation, leadership, and community transformation. Building on the impact of previous cycles—17 projects under the Global Youth Mobilization ‘National Projects’ (2020–2022) and 7 projects in the first round of Network Solutions—the current cycle continues to expand the role of youth as change-makers in local and regional development.

Projects funded through this grant should reflect meaningful youth engagement, local relevance, and measurable impact. Whether it’s through environmental activism, inclusion efforts, or community outreach, funded projects should align with the spirit of youth empowerment and social justice. With generous funding available, this grant offers a unique opportunity for young leaders and organizations to drive forward impactful solutions and lasting change.
