About Organisation

The National Bureau for Media and Communication (NBMC) is a forward-looking collective of strategists, thinkers, and problem-solvers who strongly believe in the transformative power of knowledge. The organisation works at the critical junction of politics, governance, education, and data, aiming to create meaningful impact through research, innovation, and strategic interventions. NBMC thrives on collaboration, cultivating an environment where young professionals and experienced experts work together to shape the future of India’s public discourse and systems. Its initiatives focus on building capacity, nurturing fresh talent, and generating practical solutions to challenges that lie at the heart of India’s evolving democracy. NBMC’s work is not confined to observation but extends to active participation—whether in election strategies, governance reforms, or media communications. By combining data-driven insights with creative problem-solving, the organisation ensures that impactful narratives and effective systems are built for long-term sustainability. Above all, NBMC believes in empowering individuals to contribute meaningfully to nation-building by giving them the right exposure, opportunities, and tools.

About the Fellowship

The NBMC Impact Fellowship is a six-month, full-time, immersive program that goes beyond the idea of a traditional internship. It is designed as a launchpad for recent graduates who are motivated to engage directly with India’s political, governance, and media landscape. Through this fellowship, selected individuals will gain real-world experience at the intersection of data, technology, strategy, and social impact. Instead of being passive observers, fellows are expected to actively contribute to live projects that span across elections, governance, media engagement, and education. This initiative provides a rare opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest minds shaping India’s future while also developing critical professional skills. The fellowship serves not only as a training ground but also as an entryway into long-term leadership roles within NBMC. Those who successfully complete the program may continue their journey by taking on advanced positions within the organisation, driving larger projects and innovations. The fellowship’s primary objective is to cultivate professionals who can combine analytical ability, communication skills, and creative thinking to solve complex challenges and lead in spaces that directly influence governance and policy.

Who can Apply?

The fellowship is open to recent graduates who are eager to build careers at the cutting edge of politics, governance, education, technology, and media. Individuals who have completed their undergraduate degree within the last year (0–1 year post-college) are eligible to apply. While academic background is flexible, the program seeks candidates with demonstrated strengths in at least one of the following areas: analytical reasoning, strong writing skills, or creative design ability. Candidates should display a genuine interest in problem-solving, data-driven research, and contributing to spaces that drive social and political impact. Prior experience through internships, leadership roles in student bodies, or independent projects is not mandatory but will be considered an added advantage. The fellowship is particularly suited for those who are not only curious but also motivated to work intensively on live projects that shape real outcomes. NBMC encourages applications from individuals who are passionate about learning, open to new challenges, and capable of thinking innovatively. More than just qualifications, the fellowship values potential, drive, and a willingness to engage deeply in issues that influence governance and society. Successful applicants will be those who demonstrate both skill and commitment to the larger mission.

How to Apply?

Interested candidates can apply by submitting their application through the NBMC selection process. Applicants must provide details about their background, skills, and areas of interest while highlighting relevant experiences such as internships, leadership roles, or independent projects. Selected candidates will undergo a review and shortlisting process before final confirmation. Early applications are encouraged, as the fellowship involves a highly competitive selection procedure.

Application Timelines

Applications must be submitted within the specified deadline. Late entries will not be considered under any circumstances. Ensure your application materials are complete and submitted before the closing date.
