About the Grant
The MIT Solve 2027 Global Health Challenge invites innovative, technology-driven solutions that make healthcare more equitable and accessible.
The challenge focuses on improving continuity of care, strengthening health systems, addressing noncommunicable diseases and mental health conditions, and expanding access to quality primary healthcare.
Priority areas include technologies that support frontline health workers, improve healthcare delivery in vulnerable communities, strengthen early-warning systems, and reduce barriers related to cost, distance, and administrative complexity.
Selected Solver teams receive access to MIT Solve’s support programme and funding opportunities. The standard Solver Award is US$10,000, while selected teams may also qualify for additional prize funding. The Global Health Challenge includes the Collegium Prize, which guarantees each selected Health team at least US$25,000 in additional prize funding under the published programme terms.
Who can Apply?
Innovators, entrepreneurs, organisations, and teams developing technology-driven healthcare solutions may apply.
Solutions should demonstrate how they improve healthcare access, quality, or outcomes for underserved populations. Applicants should explain the problem being addressed, the technology involved, the solution’s stage of development, and its potential for meaningful impact.
International applicants, including eligible Indian teams, can apply subject to the challenge’s published eligibility requirements.

How to Apply?

Prepare a proposal describing the healthcare challenge, intended beneficiaries, technological approach, implementation plan, and expected outcomes. Explain how the solution can be delivered effectively and how it could be expanded to reach more people.
Submit the completed application in English through the official online application portal.
