About the Grant

This program provides funding for initiatives in areas such as food support and sustainability, social entrepreneurship, and poverty alleviation. LASC prioritizes locally driven, sustainable solutions that empower communities and create measurable impact in vulnerable regions through innovation, training, and community-led engagement.

Who can Apply?

Applications are open to U.S.-based nonprofit organizations with valid 501(c)(3) public charity status. Projects must be implemented in the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, El Salvador, or Nicaragua. Applicants should demonstrate active local involvement through in-country staff or partnerships that engage communities in planning and execution. Proposals must show potential for long-term sustainability and measurable outcomes in community empowerment and livelihood enhancement.

How to Apply?

Eligible nonprofits must prepare a detailed proposal outlining objectives, beneficiaries, and sustainability plans. Applications can be submitted through the LASC online portal before the stated deadline. Proposals should highlight community participation, measurable impact, and alignment with LASC’s focus areas.
