About the Grant

The ICGEB Grant Program 2025 provides financial support for outstanding scientific research projects in genetic engineering and biotechnology. The grant is designed to assist scientists in conducting high-impact research that contributes to global scientific advancements. ICGEB encourages international collaboration, aiming to create synergistic research partnerships among its Member States. The funding supports innovative scientific solutions that address critical issues in health, agriculture, industry, and environmental sustainability. The program follows a rigorous evaluation process, ensuring that only the most promising and impactful projects receive funding. Proposals are reviewed by internationally recognized experts and undergo a two-phase selection process before final approval. ICGEB prioritizes projects that involve cross-border collaboration, particularly those that address regional challenges, introduce new partnerships, or engage multiple countries. While collaborations with ICGEB research groups are not mandatory, they are considered an added advantage. The grant offers up to €25,000 per year, covering essential research costs, excluding major equipment purchases. This initiative enables scientists to pursue pioneering research, develop innovative biotechnological solutions, and contribute to the advancement of science and technology in their respective countries and beyond.
