Its continued focus on quality, innovation, and value has helped it stay ahead in a rapidly evolving market landscape. InterGlobe Enterprises is deeply committed to creating impactful experiences while contributing to national growth.

Through initiatives such as the InterGlobe Foundation, it actively supports heritage conservation, social welfare, and sustainable development. The Foundation works to preserve India’s cultural heritage by funding and supporting projects that promote awareness, appreciation, and documentation of traditional practices. The InterGlobe HERITAGE Fellowships is a key initiative in this direction, enabling creative professionals and scholars to document and engage with India’s rich but often overlooked cultural and intangible heritage connected to built heritage sites across the country.

About the Grant

The InterGlobe HERITAGE Fellowships 2025 aims to spotlight the ‘associated intangible heritage’ and ‘associated craft traditions’ that surround significant built heritage sites across India. Through this fellowship, selected individuals are encouraged to delve into and document ceremonies, rituals, festivals, craft traditions, and community practices that are intrinsically linked to heritage structures.

This year’s focus is on uncovering cultural narratives through photo essays, illustrations, written works, or any creative form. Examples of potential themes include urban transformation during festivals like Durga Puja, traditional stone inscriptions, historical garden aesthetics, and community observances like Rath Yatra or Muharram. The initiative seeks to preserve the lesser-known yet culturally rich elements of heritage, highlighting how such practices shape the meaning and legacy of these sites.

The fellowship spans 3 to 6 months starting October 2025. Two selected fellows will receive a grant of ₹2,00,000 each, which includes travel and documentation expenses. Submissions may be showcased on InterGlobe’s platforms, with a possibility of a curated exhibition in the future.

This program offers a platform for creative individuals to engage meaningfully with India’s cultural wealth, encouraging reflection, research, and representation of the intangible threads that connect communities with their heritage.

Who can Apply?

The InterGlobe HERITAGE Fellowships 2025 is open to individuals with a background or keen interest in the liberal arts, including but not limited to students, researchers, faculty, writers, photographers, and creative practitioners. Applicants must be of Indian origin, currently residing in India, and possess an Indian bank account. They must be at least 18 years of age as of August 1, 2025.

Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate prior academic or professional familiarity with the chosen subject or theme. However, the fellowship welcomes diverse interpretations and encourages applications from those willing to engage deeply with the cultural and artistic narratives of built heritage sites.

Selected fellows must not be recipients of any other grant or fellowship for the same proposed project at the time of application. They are expected to carry out the fellowship independently and provide written assurance that their proposed work has not been showcased commercially in India or abroad, though prior exposure on social media platforms is permitted.

Fellows may continue their primary work or study commitments while pursuing the fellowship. All deliverables must be completed within the stipulated 3–6 month duration, ending by February 2026. Photographers and artists must use their own equipment, as additional funding will not be provided.
