About the Grant
HP Udgam Cohort 2025 (Round-1) is an initiative by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited designed to support startups with innovative solutions in crucial sectors. Through this flagship startup support program, HPCL offers substantial financial backing—up to ₹2.5 crore per startup—via Compulsorily Convertible Preference Shares (CCPS). This round aims to identify, nurture, and scale early-stage ventures working at the intersection of energy innovation, digital transformation, and sustainability.
The grant prioritizes startups operating in diverse sectors such as Renewable Energy, Biofuels, E-Mobility, Energy Storage, Low Carbon Technologies (LNG, CGD), and other innovations aligned with the Oil & Gas industry. Additionally, startups in broader categories like Health-tech, Agri-tech, Fin-tech, Ed-tech, Space-tech, and Deep-tech are also encouraged to apply under the Digital Solutions segment.
HPCL’s Udgam program goes beyond funding, offering strategic mentorship, access to industry experts, and potential partnerships for pilot testing and commercialization. Who can Apply?
Startups seeking to apply for HP Udgam Cohort 2025 must meet the following eligibility requirements:

DPIIT Recognition: Applicants must have a valid Startup Recognition Certificate issued by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India. This ensures the startup’s compliance with national standards of innovation and entrepreneurial status.
