About Organisation

The Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) leads Italy’s official development assistance efforts, supporting global initiatives that promote peace, health, and sustainable growth. AICS works with governments, civil society, and international institutions to enhance the quality of life for vulnerable communities worldwide.
Through its programs, AICS focuses on humanitarian aid, poverty reduction, gender equality, healthcare, food security, and climate resilience. The agency’s mission is to advance human dignity and strengthen local systems through community-driven, sustainable development projects.
In line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), AICS prioritizes interventions that improve access to essential services, especially in crisis-affected areas. The HealthPro2 Grant Program exemplifies this mission—addressing urgent health, nutrition, and sanitation challenges while empowering local institutions and communities.

About the Grant

The HealthPro2 Grant Program, launched by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, supports initiatives that respond to health and nutrition crises among vulnerable populations affected by poverty, displacement, and food insecurity.
The program aims to strengthen primary healthcare, nutrition services, and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) systems in host communities, refugee camps, and areas with internally displaced persons. Priority interventions include upgrading health infrastructure, ensuring safe drinking water, providing essential drugs and medical supplies, and enhancing disease surveillance and referral systems.
Applicants are expected to design projects that promote sustainable health access, quality service delivery, and community engagement. Actions should also focus on long-term resilience and local capacity building.
With a total indicative budget of EUR 4.3 million, the program allows for grants ranging between EUR 1,000,000 and EUR 4,300,000, covering up to 100% of eligible costs.
