Since it was founded in 2015, EarthRanger has really helped park rangers to make well-informed decisions regarding conservation on their area. Ecologists and other professionals involved in studying habitats or wildlife are also known to make use of it for these purposes. Vulcan LLC, that partnered with many technology and conservation organizations, developed EarthRanger which integrates ranger patrols’ time-sensitive information, images collected from afar along with aerial photographs as well.
About the Grant
AI2 is presenting two $15,000 offers to help modern tech solutions for natural world safety. We are looking for companies using tech to fight poaching, take a look at animal conduct, or promote human-wildlife coexistence. Both tech adopters and developers are eligible. Prove your tech’s impact and win!
Who can Apply?
- AI2 needs all online forms filled out by August 23, 2024.
- Each form must name a contact person for the group.
- AI2 will check all applications against their rules and US laws on giving money at home and abroad.
- Every applicant must follow AI2’s rules for business partners.
- Both nonprofit and for-profit groups can apply even those running protected areas.
- You can ask for one grant – pick either the Technology Adopter or Technology Practitioner option on the form.
- People who applied before, including those who got money for other projects, can try again.
- AI2 has some extra rules about who can apply, which you’ll find below.
