About the Grant
The Google Udaan India Fund: Visakhapatnam aims to support community-led initiatives that address local challenges and promote sustainable development. Managed by ChangeX, this fund focuses on areas such as digital literacy, vocational training, small business support, environmental sustainability, and water resilience. It enables communities to either implement proven solutions like STEM labs, solar energy, and rainwater harvesting or propose their own innovative projects. The initiative reflects Google’s commitment to being an active community partner, supporting long-term growth and resilience in the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region through impactful and scalable solutions.
Who can Apply?
Eligible applicants include registered organisations, schools, and community groups working within the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region. Organisations applying with their own project must have valid FCRA registration and submit required documentation. Applicants opting for proven ideas must meet specific criteria defined for each initiative, with funding managed by partner organisations. Projects must align with key themes such as workforce development, digital and AI training, small business growth, water conservation, or sustainability initiatives. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and commit to completing the project within 12 months, including submitting a detailed impact report with measurable outcomes.
How to Apply?
Applicants must submit their applications through the ChangeX platform before the deadline. After submission, applications will be reviewed, and shortlisted candidates will be notified. Selected applicants must complete onboarding steps within 30 days, after which initial funding will be released. Projects can then begin, and applicants must implement their initiatives and later submit an impact report to receive the remaining funds.
Application Deadline
Applications for the Google Udaan India Fund must be submitted by 30 April 2026. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered for funding under this initiative.
