About the Grant
The Global Youth Action Fund 2025 is a prestigious grant program designed to support secondary school students who aspire to drive meaningful change in their communities. Selected projects receive up to $3,000 USD in funding, which can be utilized for materials, outreach efforts, or other necessary resources. Who can Apply?
The Global Youth Action Fund is open to secondary school students worldwide who are passionate about making a difference in their communities. Applicants must be between the ages of 12 and 19 and currently enrolled in secondary education. Importantly, students do not need to be part of an IB World School to be eligible; the opportunity is open to all secondary school students, regardless of their educational background.
To qualify, applicants must present a project idea that aligns with at least one of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The project should focus on addressing key global challenges such as sustainability, education, social justice, environmental conservation, or equity. Successful applications will demonstrate clear objectives, feasibility, and a strong potential for impact.
Past recipients have included students working on projects related to climate change advocacy, educational inclusion, and social empowerment. The initiative seeks individuals who show leadership, creativity, and commitment to social change. Whether working individually or as part of a team, applicants should be able to articulate how the grant will support their project’s growth and implementation.
How to Apply?
Students must submit a detailed project proposal during the application window, which runs from February 3 to February 28, 2025. The proposal should outline the project’s objectives, expected impact, and alignment with one or more SDGs. Applicants should follow the guidelines provided by IB to ensure their submissions meet the selection criteria.
