About the Grant
The GFX Challenge Grant Program, initiated by Fujifilm in 2021, is designed to support aspiring photographers and videographers in bringing their creative visions to life. This program provides both financial and technical assistance to emerging and promising creators, offering them opportunities to produce impactful projects with significant meaning. Awardees may submit projects in either still photography or video format, making the grant versatile for different types of creative expression. The program awards two levels of grants: the Global Grant Award, which provides $10,000, and the Regional Grant Award, which provides $5,000. Both awards include complimentary use of Fujifilm’s GFX System camera body and two GF lenses during the project period, along with expert mentoring and technical support from Fujifilm specialists. At the conclusion of the project in May 2026, the recipients’ work will be showcased globally on the official Fujifilm platform and through a series of exhibitions across various countries. This initiative not only supports the creation of meaningful content but also provides recipients with a platform to share their vision with a wider audience, reinforcing Fujifilm’s mission to nurture creativity and inspire society through imaging technology.
Who can Apply?
The GFX Challenge Grant Program is open to both amateur and professional photographers and videographers who are passionate about using imaging as a medium of storytelling and creative expression. Applicants must be residents of the countries or regions listed in the entry submission guidelines provided by the program. The program welcomes individuals from diverse backgrounds, encouraging fresh ideas and unique perspectives that contribute meaningfully to society and the creative industry. Applicants should have a clear project idea and the ability to present it effectively through a structured proposal. While the program embraces creators at all skill levels, showcasing prior experience or a portfolio of work is essential, as it provides evaluators with insight into the applicant’s abilities and creative journey. The program excludes employees, officers, and affiliates of Fujifilm and its subsidiaries to maintain transparency and fairness. This grant is ideal for individuals who seek not only financial support but also mentoring and technical guidance to strengthen their craft. By combining funding, equipment, and professional expertise, the program offers a comprehensive growth opportunity for content creators who aspire to make an impact through still photography or filmmaking projects that hold personal and societal significance.
