About the Grant
The Gender Audit of schemes and policies funded by the Nirbhaya Fund aims to assess the implementation, effectiveness, and gender-responsiveness of schemes financed through the Fund. Established in 2013, the Nirbhaya Fund supports projects addressing women’s safety, security, and empowerment. This audit seeks to evaluate how effectively these schemes have been designed and executed to achieve gender equality outcomes, identify existing gaps, and recommend actionable strategies for improvement and sustainability.
Who can Apply?
Eligible applicants include Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and NGOs registered in India with a minimum of five years of experience in conducting audits or evaluations of national or state-level programs related to gender equality, women’s safety, or empowerment. Organizations must demonstrate proven technical expertise in data analysis, policy assessment, and gender-based research methodologies. Experience in collaborating with government bodies, UN agencies, or large-scale social development projects will be an added advantage.
How to Apply?
Interested organizations must submit a detailed proposal outlining their methodology, institutional capacity, and relevant experience by 14 November 2025. Proposals should align with UN Women’s guidelines and include supporting documentation such as registration certificates, audited financial statements, and prior project reports. Applications must be sent electronically to UN Women India’s designated procurement portal within the specified deadline.
