About the Grant
The GCSP Prize for Transformative Futures in Peace and Security recognizes groundbreaking ideas that address global peace and security challenges. This prize encourages innovative concepts across various fields, such as transformative technologies, pandemics, human rights, and cybersecurity. Winners are evaluated for their creativity, originality, and transformative potential. The first-place winner receives a fully funded 2-month incubation program within GCSP’s Creative Spark, valued at CHF 15,000, along with a certificate of excellence. Additionally, two finalists are awarded certificates of recognition. The initiative aims to inspire excellence in new approaches to sustainable global peace and security, supporting ideas that can transcend boundaries and achieve lasting impact.
Who can Apply?
Individuals, groups, or organizations from any country can apply, provided their concepts address peace and security issues with an impact extending beyond national borders. Applications must be in English. The prize is open to public and private sector entities that showcase exceptional potential in solving global challenges. However, GCSP employees, staff, current fellows, current participants, and their family members are ineligible unless a year has passed since their affiliation with GCSP ended. The judges will evaluate submissions based on creativity, sustainability, originality, transformative and incubation potential, and their ability to contribute to sustainable global peace and security.
