About Organisation

Solidarity and Action Against the HIV Infection in India (SAATHII) is a national non-governmental organisation dedicated to accelerating India’s response to HIV and AIDS. Since its inception, SAATHII has worked to strengthen healthcare systems, ensure equitable access to treatment, and uphold the rights and dignity of people living with HIV (PLHIV). The organisation collaborates with government agencies, civil society partners, and affected communities to advance public health, gender equality, and inclusion. SAATHII’s initiatives span prevention, care, support, and advocacy, promoting sustainable and community-driven solutions in alignment with India’s National AIDS Control Programme (NACP) and global HIV targets.

About the Grant

SAATHII, with support from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM), invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible organisations to serve as Sub-Recipients (SRs) under the GFATM-supported HIV Project. This initiative supports India’s efforts to achieve the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets—diagnosing 95% of all people living with HIV, providing treatment to 95% of those diagnosed, and achieving viral suppression for 95% of those treated. The project strengthens the continuum of care, expands Care and Support Centres (CSC 2.0), and promotes the Elimination of Vertical Transmission (EVT) of HIV and syphilis. It also integrates HIV, tuberculosis, and communicable disease interventions in incarcerated populations, aiming to reduce stigma and enhance community engagement for sustainable impact.

Who can Apply?

Eligible applicants include registered NGOs and nonprofit organisations based in India, particularly those operating within the Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep regions. Applicants must have proven experience in community health, HIV/AIDS prevention and care, or related public health initiatives. Organisations should demonstrate capacity in financial management, data reporting, and program implementation. Preference will be given to community-based organisations with existing networks among PLHIV and key populations. Applicants must also comply with GFATM and SAATHII’s operational, governance, and safeguarding standards to ensure transparency, accountability, and community inclusivity.

How to Apply?

Interested organisations must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) detailing organisational background, relevant experience, and capacity to implement HIV care and support programs. Applications should include all required documentation as specified in the call for EOI and be submitted to SAATHII within the given deadline. Shortlisted applicants may be invited for further discussions or presentations before final selection.

Application Deadline

The deadline for submitting the Expression of Interest (EOI) to serve as a Sub-Recipient under the GFATM-supported HIV Project is November 10, 2025.
