About Organisation
The Foundation for Contemporary & Emerging Art (FCEA) is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting emerging artists across South Asia. Through grants, residencies, mentorship and exhibition opportunities, the foundation works to strengthen the contemporary art ecosystem and help artists develop sustainable creative practices. FCEA aims to create platforms for artists whose work may not yet have received significant institutional recognition. Its programmes support artistic experimentation, professional growth and greater public visibility. By collaborating with cultural institutions, patrons and corporate partners, the foundation seeks to expand opportunities for emerging artists and encourage new voices in contemporary art and visual storytelling.
About the Grant
The Delton Cables Inception Grant for Photography 2026–27 is a new initiative designed to support one emerging South Asian photographer with financial assistance and structured professional development. Supported by Delton Cables and administered by FCEA, the grant provides ₹2 lakh in production funding, statement-development support, a solo exhibition at Art Incept in Gurgaon and an opportunity to feature twelve photographs in the Delton Cables Calendar 2027. The programme welcomes diverse photographic approaches, including analogue and digital photography, studio-based work, field photography and constructed or observational imagery. The selected photographer receives a year of support to develop a coherent body of work and build professional visibility.
