About the Grant
SBI Foundation, through its SBIF CONSERW initiative, invites proposals for long-term projects in the area of Adoption of Solar Power. The grant aims to support projects running for 2 to 3 years starting from FY 2025-26. The key focus is on implementing solar power solutions to enhance energy access and transform communities and institutions into self-reliant energy hubs. Project themes include setting up off-grid solar plants, rooftop solar systems, solar lighting in remote areas, solar-powered lift irrigation systems for agriculture and drinking water, and solar adoption by rural institutions. The initiative is designed to bring positive change by enabling sustainable and clean energy alternatives for underserved populations. With a grant budget ranging from ₹0.50 crore to ₹4.50 crore, the Foundation aims to support organizations that can demonstrate measurable and impactful results. The objective is not just energy access but enabling community development through renewable solutions. Organizations with proven expertise in solar interventions and a strong track record in CSR execution are encouraged to apply.
Who can Apply?
The opportunity is open to non-profit organizations, registered trusts, and societies in India with a minimum of 3 years of operational existence. Eligible NGOs must have at least 5 years of experience implementing CSR projects specifically related to solar energy adoption. A strong, dedicated team with relevant technical expertise such as engineers and environmental specialists is essential. The applicant must have a physical presence in the state where the proposed project is to be implemented. Only those organizations that have completed at least three similar assignments or projects in the domain of solar power will be considered. Preference will be given to NGOs that can demonstrate the ability to deliver measurable outcomes, efficiency, and effectiveness in their solar energy interventions. This grant is designed for experienced entities capable of executing community-level energy transformation and sustainability initiatives. The selected organizations should align with SBI Foundation’s goals of fostering environmental resilience and energy independence in rural and underserved areas.
How to Apply?
Eligible NGOs can apply by submitting a detailed project proposal aligned with the grant’s thematic focus. The proposal should highlight previous experience, team capabilities, and measurable impact plans.

All proposals must be submitted on or before 25th May 2025. Late submissions will not be considered for evaluation.
