About the Grant
The Fulbright TEA Program 2026–2027 is a fully funded, non-degree professional development opportunity for secondary school teachers. The program provides graduate-level academic seminars at U.S. host universities, combined with a supervised teaching practicum in American secondary schools. Participants gain exposure to innovative teaching methodologies, student-centered learning, instructional technology, and curriculum design. In addition to academic training, the program promotes professional networking and cultural exchange. Teachers are expected to return home after completion and share their knowledge to strengthen educational practices in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Who can Apply?
The program is open to citizens and residents of Bosnia and Herzegovina who are currently employed as full-time secondary school teachers. Applicants must teach at least half-time at the secondary level, hold a bachelor’s degree, and have a minimum of three years of full-time teaching experience. Eligible subject areas include EFL, mathematics, science, foreign languages, social studies, journalism, communications, and special education. Applicants must demonstrate sufficient English proficiency, meet J-1 visa requirements, and commit to returning home for at least two years after the program.
How to Apply?
Applicants must complete and submit the online application form by the deadline. Required materials include a statement of purpose, institutional support and leave approval forms, identification documents, and other supporting information. TOEFL scores are not required at the initial stage but must be provided by shortlisted candidates later in the selection process.
