Its commitment to inclusivity reflects Rwanda’s broader national goals of accessible education and social transformation.
About the Grant
The BK Foundation Inclusive Education Grant 2026 is launched under the theme “Access to Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education and Promoting Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All.” This three-year project aims to strengthen Rwanda’s education system by improving learning opportunities for children with disabilities and special needs. The grant focuses on seven priority areas: inclusive education, assistive technology, educator capacity building, parental empowerment, community sensitization, health linkages, and innovation for sustainability. Through this call, the Foundation seeks creative, evidence-driven solutions that foster inclusive education ecosystems, support lifelong learning, and promote community participation. The selected partner organization will receive a performance-based implementation grant, with disbursements tied to measurable milestones and outcomes. Applicants must also contribute at least 30% of the total project budget as matching funds. The initiative embodies the Foundation’s belief that education should be a universal right and a driver of inclusive social progress.
Who can Apply?
Eligible applicants include local NGOs, social enterprises, and educational or specialized institutions legally registered and operating in Rwanda. Organizations must demonstrate at least five years of experience in inclusive education, disability support, or related community programs.
