WorldSkills is a global movement transforming the lives of young individuals through the power of skills. With over 80 Member organizations, WorldSkills reaches approximately two-thirds of the global population, creating a meaningful and measurable impact across multiple levels. The organization instills confidence in youth, empowers communities, and drives economic growth by fostering talent and innovation. At its core, WorldSkills is dedicated to enabling social mobility and inclusive development by advancing skill-based education and vocational excellence.
The HP Foundation, a nonprofit entity of HP Inc., works to create opportunities for underserved and underrepresented communities around the world. As a 501(c)(3) organization, it focuses on technology-driven learning, volunteering, and charitable giving. Through its HP LIFE initiative, it provides free access to quality educational resources that help entrepreneurs, students, and lifelong learners develop essential business and technical skills. The HP Foundation mobilizes HP employees globally, encouraging them to volunteer their time and expertise to positively impact society.
About the Grant
The BeChangeMaker program is an international online training initiative designed to inspire youth to take action on pressing global issues through social entrepreneurship and skill development. A collaborative effort between WorldSkills and the HP Foundation, this program equips young individuals with the knowledge and tools necessary to create sustainable, impactful solutions that contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Participants gain access to HP LIFE’s comprehensive library of 32 free online courses covering business, entrepreneurship, and technical skills. In addition to self-paced learning, the program offers hands-on support in the form of coaching, mentoring, and startup acceleration resources. Teams selected for the program will benefit from exposure to a global network of investors, experts, and changemakers, enhancing their chances of success and scalability.
BeChangeMaker provides a unique opportunity to transform a social challenge into a viable business idea with global impact. It not only encourages innovation and collaboration but also strengthens the entrepreneurial ecosystem by enabling access to world-class content and real-time expert feedback.
Who can Apply?
BeChangeMaker is open to aspiring social entrepreneurs who are passionate about addressing global challenges and contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The program is designed for young individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 who are ready to create impact through innovative ideas and teamwork.
To apply, participants must form a team comprising 2 to 5 members who share a common vision for social change. The team should select one member to act as the team leader, who will be responsible for submitting the application on behalf of the group. All team members are required to create an account on HP LIFE to access the free courses provided as part of the program.
In addition, each participant must review and agree to the official rules of the program before submission. The team should also identify a social issue they want to tackle and be committed to developing a sustainable business model around their solution. BeChangeMaker encourages participation from individuals representing underserved or underrepresented communities, promoting inclusivity and diversity in social innovation.
Overall, the grant is ideal for driven young changemakers who are ready to learn, grow, and create meaningful social enterprises.
How to Apply?
Form a team of 2 to 5 members aged 18–35 and choose a team leader. Record a 1-minute video introducing your team and explaining the social issue you aim to solve. Upload the video as “unlisted” on YouTube. The team leader must complete and submit the application, ensuring all team members have created HP LIFE accounts and agreed to the official rules before applying.
