About Organisation

The Awesome Foundation is a global network of independent chapters that provide small grants to creative and promising projects. Its Conservation and Climate chapter focuses specifically on initiatives addressing environmental and climate challenges. The chapter supports ideas that can create meaningful impact with relatively small amounts of funding and prefers projects that are close to implementation. Its interests include conservation, climate action, biodiversity, wildlife protection, habitat restoration, environmental communication and related community initiatives. The programme is designed to support practical ideas that may not fit traditional large-grant funding structures but can make a catalytic difference when provided with timely micro-funding.

About the Grant

The Awesome Foundation Conservation & Climate Micro-Grants support creative, innovative and impactful projects addressing climate change and nature conservation. The programme focuses on wildlife conservation, habitat protection, ecotourism and environmental communication, particularly ideas that use unique approaches to create wider impact. Grants are designed for projects where funding of US$1,000 or less can make the difference between an idea happening or not. Preference is given to projects that are close to implementation and have potential to inspire action beyond their immediate community. The programme welcomes applications from individuals and small teams with promising environmental ideas..

Who can Apply?

The opportunity is suitable for individuals, community groups, organisations and project teams developing practical conservation or climate initiatives. Applicants should have a project that is close to implementation and be able to clearly explain how the requested funding will be used. The chapter does not generally support personal expenses, marketing, salaries, operational expenses, established projects, travel, political activities or religious activities. Projects should demonstrate originality, practical potential and a clear environmental purpose. Applicants must also be able to receive the grant through an accepted payment method such as PayPal, Wise or Venmo.

How to Apply?

Applicants should prepare a concise description of the environmental challenge, proposed solution, implementation plan and specific use of funds. The application should explain why the project matters, what the micro-grant will make possible and how the idea could inspire broader action.
