About Organisation
Reece Foundation was established in 2022 with the belief that access to clean water and sanitation is fundamental to quality of life. Grounded in the philosophy that “plumbers prevent,” the Foundation connects trade skills and technical expertise with communities most in need. Through locally driven solutions, it supports projects that improve access to water, sanitation, and irrigation-based food security in Australia and internationally. By partnering with community organisations, the Foundation delivers practical, sustainable interventions that strengthen health, resilience, and overall community wellbeing.
About the Grant
The Reece Foundation Small Grants Program supports locally led initiatives that restore or improve access to clean water, sanitation, and food security. For the current cycle, the Foundation is prioritising projects responding to disaster-affected communities, particularly those impacted by flooding in Australia and Texas, USA. Grants are intended for clearly defined projects with measurable outcomes, such as restoring water supply systems, sanitation facilities, or irrigation solutions. The program does not fund general operational expenses or unrestricted donations, focusing instead on targeted interventions that deliver direct, practical impact for communities.
Who can Apply?
Eligible applicants include registered not-for-profit organisations, community groups, or individuals and informal groups sponsored by a not-for-profit entity. Applicants must propose a specific project aligned with the Foundation’s focus on clean water access, sanitation, or food security. Each application should include clear objectives, timelines, and a realistic budget outlining how funds will be used. Projects may be based in Australia or overseas, provided they demonstrate strong community leadership and tangible benefits. General maintenance activities or non-project-based funding requests are not eligible for support.
How to Apply?
Applications can be submitted year-round under the Small Grants Program. Applicants must clearly outline the project need, proposed activities, budget, and implementation timeline. While disaster-response initiatives are currently prioritised, projects aligned with the Foundation’s broader mission are also considered. Shortlisted applicants are contacted directly within approximately two months of submission.
Application Deadline
There is no fixed annual deadline; however, for this funding cycle, applications are being considered with a priority review date of 14 March 2026.
