About Organisation
Founded in 1997 by John Bigelow Loveland, the New Earth Foundation (NEF) is a philanthropic organization dedicated to enhancing life on Earth and promoting global peace. Since its inception, NEF has supported nonprofit organizations working in education, clean water and energy, environmental conservation, arts, hunger alleviation, and social well-being. The Foundation prioritises innovative, values-driven initiatives that uplift communities while protecting the planet. Through thoughtful grant-making and a growing funding base, NEF seeks to empower changemakers whose work fosters sustainability, harmony, and long-term positive transformation for people and the Earth alike.
About the Grant
The New Earth Foundation Grant supports innovative, transformative projects that contribute to social well-being, environmental sustainability, and peace. The Foundation primarily focuses on smaller and newer nonprofit organizations, enabling its funding to create meaningful impact. Supported initiatives span environmental protection, social sustainability, education, economic opportunity, and community development. NEF values projects that are practical, cost-effective, and capable of being replicated to benefit wider communities. Funded projects must demonstrate clear goals, strong implementation plans, community involvement, measurable outcomes, and long-term sustainability through future funding strategies.
Who can Apply?
Applications are open to nonprofit organizations, particularly smaller and emerging 501(c)(3) entities. Eligible projects must align with NEF’s mission of promoting life’s wellness and Earth’s peace. Proposals should be innovative, solution-oriented, and address a clearly defined societal or environmental need. Applicants must outline a specific project with measurable outcomes, community involvement, qualified staff or volunteers, and a realistic budget. Projects should include plans for evaluation, replication, and future funding. Initiatives that do not demonstrate innovation, sustainability, or clear impact are unlikely to be supported.
How to Apply?
Applicants must submit a Grant Application following NEF’s review cycle. The Foundation reviews applications twice annually. Proposals should clearly describe project objectives, beneficiaries, implementation plans, evaluation methods, budget details, and long-term sustainability. Supporting materials, including images or models of the proposed work, are encouraged. Only complete applications submitted by the stated deadline will be considered.
Application Deadline
Grant applications for the current funding cycle must be submitted by 1 February 2026. Applications received after this date will be reviewed in the next cycle.
