About the Grant
The Meta Data Center Community Action Grants program provides direct funding to schools, registered nonprofits, and community organizations situated near Meta’s data centers. The initiative supports projects that advance education, innovation, and public benefit initiatives that contribute to long-term community development. Grants are intended to enhance local capacity, promote access to technology, and improve quality of life for residents. Each project must have measurable outcomes, and funds are to be utilized within one year of the award.
Who can Apply?
In the United States, eligible applicants include registered nonprofit organizations and public schools, while in Europe, eligibility extends to registered not-for-profit organizations, government entities, and state-run schools or municipalities.
Schools may submit multiple applications, but all other organizations are limited to one per cycle. Projects must demonstrate clear community benefit and accountability. Ineligible applicants include for-profit organizations, political or religious entities, and those engaging in discriminatory practices. Proposals for endowments, memorials, or scholarships are not supported.
How to Apply?
Eligible applicants must submit proposals detailing their project objectives, measurable outcomes, and community impact. Schools are encouraged to apply through their superintendents to ensure alignment with local priorities.
